The Renault Kwid BS6 is priced at Rs. 9000 on the BS4 versions, and continues to receive both 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter petrol engine options.
Renault India has released the BS6 version of the Kwid hatchback. The price for the standard entry-level variants of the Renault Kwid BS6 is 2.92 lakhs, which can go up to Cl 5.01 lakhs for the automatic Climber (O). All variants testify to a price increase of ₹ 9000 in BS6 versions compared to BS4 models. The Kwid continues to be offered with 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter engine options and is offered in a total of 12 versions.
The BS6 Renault Kwid with a 0.8-litre engine belt offers 53 hp and 72 Nm of maximum torque, while the 1.0-litre version offers 67 hp and 91 Nm of maximum torque. The power figures are very similar to the BS4 version, but we expect the power distribution to improve. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. The automaker also plans to present versions compatible with BS6 of the Duster and Captor in India.
The Renault Kwid was updated in October last year with extensive changes including a front-facing. The car gets a fresh headlamp, LED daytime running light and a host of new features. The car now sports new fabric seats with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The car comes with a reverse parking camera, a rear-seat armrest, and more. The safety list includes driver-side airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder and the speed-alert system as part of the standard kit. Kwid competes with Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago, which are already BS6 competitors.
